Kara Weimer - Yoga  & Breath Coach, Bodyworker  707.235.1413,

Kara has been studying yoga and the healing arts for over 23 years.  She is dedicated to traditional vedic teachings, upholding the integrity of yoga and self study.

She is a devotee and initiate of His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda, a fully realized Himalayan Vedic Monk, Nath Yogi and Vedic/Sanskrit Scholar.  His Holiness is the founding monk of the nonprofit, Self Enquiry Life Fellowship, and the Head Pontiff of Hansavedas Mission.  He hails from an esoteric lineage of monks who specialize in seamlessly combining three cardinal philosophies of ancient Sanskrit heritage of Vedanta, Yoga and Samkhya. The roots of this teaching go back before 3100 BCE. The monastic branches were formalized in the current orders in and around 500 BCE.  He has lectured around the world as an emissary of peace, bridging spiritual traditions and sharing the universal teachings of Vedic wisdom.

Under the guidance of His Holiness, Kara studies yoga/vedic philosophy including ayurvedic high pranic living based on the soli-lunar calendar, mindfulness, Himalayan yoga/meditation and was initiated into Kriya Vinyasa, an advanced pranayama and solar meditation practice of the Nath Yogis.

Kara studies Yoga Vinyasa Krama with His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishanda - and Pam Johnson (founder of Heights School of Yoga and Breath the Pulse of the Universe, devotee and initiate of His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda and student of Srivatsa Ramaswami for over 25 years) and Srivatsa Ramaswami (disciple of Krishnamacharya for over 33 years, expert in Vedic chanting, yoga philosophy, vinyasa krama, pranayama and recognized as an Institution of National Importance by the Government of India, Ramachandra Medical University and Yoga Brotherhood).

Her background also includes Kriya Yoga meditation and other Himalayan practices with a Himalayan Yogi, Ashtanga Vinyasa, modern vinyasa, and Baptiste Yoga (Magaña and Walt). Early in her yogic journey, Kara traveled to India and experienced ashram life, immersing in bhakti yoga and a contemplative lifestyle which shaped her relationship, devotion and deep respect for the sacred yogic wisdom that has been shared with the west.

Kara attended Alive and Well Institute of Conscious Bodywork for her initial bodywork education and received additional training at other bay area schools - with studies in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Thai Massage, Structural Foot Balancing, Ayurvedic Shirodhara Balancing and Reiki.  Her sessions are grounded, intuitive, thorough and detailed using a combination of techniques catered to the individual.

She has been practicing bodywork since 1996 and teaching yoga and meditation since 2003.
